A new group of champions are going to be crowned across 10 different weight classes on Saturday night in Philadelphia at the 2025 NCAA Division I Wrestling National Championships.

Headlining the stellar card in 2020 Olympic gold medalist Gable Steveson, who returned to college for his final year of eligibility at the University of Minnesota. Thus far, Steveson has lived up to his championship credentials while running roughshod over the competition but Oklahoma State’s Wyatt Hendrickson attempts to pull off the upset after he punched his ticket to the finals.

Penn State standout Carter Starocci has a chance to make history with an opportunity to become the first ever five-time NCAA champion if he can win his final match on Saturday. Starocci took advantage of the “free year” granted to college athletes competing during the global pandemic and he’s made the most of his opportunity with championships in 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024.

Now Starocci attempts to claim his fifth title — this time in a new division — when he faces Parker Keckeisen from Northern Iowa, who presents an interesting challenge as the returning champion at 184 pounds.

MMA Fighting will provide full results for the entire championship round Saturday.
